I think one of the best ways to have a successful garden is to listen to those who have gone before. My Dad told me the other day to rototill as soon as I had a chance, cause I might not get another one until June. Well, I didn't listen and we have had snow and snow and more snow and my garden still isn't rototilled. My mistake, I guess.
I do have a plan laid out for our larger garden, though. It is 70' x 25'. I thought I would break it into 2 separate areas, one for the regular vegetable rows, and one for the squash etc plants that start small and end up HUGE.
Here are a couple websites that have been helpful so far in planning.

new blog
I've had a blog for years. All about kids and home and family. I find its a great way to keep track of what is happening in my life.
For the last 4 years I've had a garden in Saskatoon. I took pictures, I kept track of what I planted when and where...
and I have no idea where all that info is.
SO, here is my blog to keep things where they need to be so I can (hopefully) find them when I need them. Nothing like getting potato rot just cause I was too lazy to keep track of where I've been planting the potatoes.
My goal before Easter is to get my garden rototilled, and to sketch up a plan for where I want to plant things. We'll see how it goes.
